Sorry but that is precisely how you are coming across.
As an example if I say "trapping" yes, the specifics might differ, but "trapping" carries a reasonably accepted meaning.
That is how communication is possible after all.
Imperfect understanding leading to better understanding.

As to the other matter, you, yourself state that you wish to be "judged.....upon my ability to contribute" So what have you "contributed?"
You started a thread some time ago--Aug of last year/2016 that you didn't really bother to really participate in.
Now you won't answer simple questions from informed people.
As you are a college professor, let us be Socratic, what are people to reasonably infer from a person saying one thing but doing quite something else?
