Found his name in an old KW post, if he's still kicking Ikeda-sensei would be about 95 right now.

Now i'm at home, i can give more informations. (Source : ZNKR, ken-iai-jo, 1982 high-ranked people and instructors directory)

He was born in december 10th 1926, in Kagoshima prefecture. If he's still alive, he would be around 90~91 years old.

From 1953, he went training under Nakagawa Eizô 中川英三 (Jikiden) and Sakamoto Kichirô 坂本吉郎 (Jikiden, Hanshi kyûdan). He was mostly supervising the iaidô branch of the Ôsaka Kendo association and the Iaidô association named Iwanami-kai in Ôsaka too. Photography was his hobby.

By 1982 he was Nanadan Kyôshi in iaidô, kyôshi nanadan in kendô and kyôshi in jôdô.

He played several roles in the Ôsaka kendô renmei, iaidô branch : he was permanent committee member, permanent examinator and permanent instructor.

    Hello,
I saw Osaka in this post and couldn't help commenting. After a bit of research, Ikeda sensei still seems to be teaching. It seems that he is instructing seitei in iaido club close to where I live. Hope this helps.
