    Default March 2020. Gasshuku in Madrid (Spain) with 21st representative Musô Jikiden Eishin

    Once again, Sekiguchi Komei sensei, 21 representative of the lineage of Musô Jikiden Eishin ryû iaijutsu in the Nihon Kobudô Kyôkai - Nippon Budôkan, will come to Spain to teach a seminar. On this occasion he will be accompanied by Sonoko Nakano sensei, secretary of Komei Jyûku and uchi deshi.

    The seminar will be held in the town of Guadarrama (Madrid) at the Fray Luis de León Center. It will be a gasshuku in every way, sharing a weekend in a martial community with the sensei. The keiko will start at 6:00 am and end at 7:30 pm. We will train, eat and sleep in the same place, achieving an intensive course of koryû iaijutsu and kenjutsu.

    The schedule of the course will be the following:

    Friday, March 13, 2020: Arrival at the Fray Luis de León center in the town of Guadarrama in the mountains of Madrid.
    4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Keiko.
    20h dinner.

    Saturday, March 14, 2020:
    6h - 8h Keiko.
    8h Breakfast.
    10h - 13h Keiko.
    13h Food.
    4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Keiko.

    There is the possibility to stay to sleep on Sunday and leave after having breakfast on Monday. The sensei will do it, but the rest can decide whether to leave at the end of the seminar or the next day.

    During this gasshuku, Sekiguchi Komei sensei will give diplomas accrediting attended the seminar, signed by him as 21 representative of the lineage.
    The price of the seminar is the following:

    By car: From the M-40 and A6.
    In public transportation: Bus 682 (Guadarrama) You can take it in Madrid at Moncloa Underground Bus Station. Price: 4,10€. Is the last Stop, called La Serrana. This buses has boots to carry on your luggage, just ask the driver.
    How to go from the Airport to Moncloa station: Go to the Subway (Metro) buy your travel card at the machines (2,50€) and add as much travels you want. Go to line 8 direction Nuevos Ministerios (last stop). There, change to line 6 direction Moncloa. At moncloa station, go to the Intercambiador or Underground Bus Stop searching the bus 682 to Guadarrama.

    The waza we will focus in this gashuku will be the following ones:
    - Toho Gohon: 5 kata of Zen Nippon Iaidô Renmei, founded in 1948.
    - Seiza no bu: 11 kata from the seiza sitting position, created at the beginning of the 18th century.
    - Tate hiza no bu: 9 kata from semi-sitting position and 1 from seiza, created in the mid-seventeenth century.
    - Oku iai iwaza: 8 semi-sitting kata, created between the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th.
    - Oku iai tachiwaza: 10 standing kata and 3 seiza kata from the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th.
    - Hayanuki Chudan (morote, katate makkô, katate yoko), Bangai Sanbon, Bangai Gohon (Tôryû): The first 3 from semi-seated and the remaining 8 standing, all being forms of ancient oral transmission, configured in the nineteenth century.
    - Tachi uchi no kurai nanahon no kata: 7 forms of kenjutsu / kumitachi from the XVIII - XIX centuries.
    - Tsume iai no kurai: 6 kata of semi-seated and 5 of standing, all of them of kumitachi / kenjutsu.
    - Henka waza: About 40 kata, including jujutsu kata.

    All attendees must bring their hakama + keikogi + obi + tabi + knee pads. Bringing or not iaitô is optional, but bringing bokutô with saya is obligatory, since the line Yamauchi Komei Jyûku of Musô Jikiden Eishin ryû iaijutsu prioritizes much on the kenjutsu, being 50% of the usual practice.

    Since the inscriptions are limited, and the course program is going to be very intensive and complex, without a beginner level, registration will be given to those who train or have trained this koryû, or who have extensive knowledge of iai or the kenjutsu.
