Is there any good reference material in English that would outline (like a Who's Who) the early high ranked yudansha of the Kodokan? I'm thinking of pre-war era, or perhaps even pre-30's?

I can find information on the "Gods of Judo", etc. but I'm thinking of something that might have more of a broad brushstroke.

I plan on making time to check the Kodokan library at some point, but my understanding is that the English language materials are quite few.

I did search the forum, so I apologize if this is a repost and I missed something relevant.

Thank you,

Jeremy Frank
