    Default Budo no Kokoro

This should be the primary post on this site. Without this as the core of your practice it is meaningless.

    Stan,
That's an opinion, not a rule of thumb.

BTW: Please sign your posts with your name. Most folks rather enjoy knowing the person behind the keyboard. It's also a rule of the forum. If you configure the signarure editor to do so, it is set and can then be forgotten.

    Welcome!

Mind and spirit, I would agree are essential, however I would also refer to Miyamoto Musashi ...

You should not have a favourite weapon. To become over-familiar with one weapon is as much a fault as not knowing it sufficiently well.

I think this applies to mind, body and spirit. To know the spirit better then the mind and body is to know it insufficiently.

I believe that the Mind and Spirit though are more of a personal journey of discovery that one undertakes and that in reality it is up to the individual. This is most probably why there is much less to say on this topic :P

    Kind Regards,
    Sean.
