Some days ago I could read some comments in this site regarding
the Katori Shinto Ryu in witch some people discussed (this is the objective
of this forum, I suppose) about the legitimacy of the school that is
leaded by Otake Sensei and other lines developed by people that don't
have a direct relation with the Iizasa Family, that is the unique heriter of
the Katori Shinto Ryu tradition.

I was very surprised to see the spectation that the Katori School
generates in a medium like this (Internet).

Normally I don't take part in this type of forums because the opinions
that are commented here do refer to third people and in some cases
we aren't qualified to talk about them.

The reason because I take part today in this forum is to clarify some
declarations of Mr Vaibureshoon in wich he mentioned a "spanish teacher"
who" , he said, "using a Web site made by him, he proclaims only one
in charge of Katori Shinto Ryu in Europe..." or something like that.

In first instance, I am not a teacher of Katori Shinto Ryu, I am "SIMPLY"
a student of Otake Sensei's Shinbukan Dojo who received the rank of
Mokuroku, that like Mr Vaibureshoon must surely know, It doesn't allow
to teach the school. Also, if I would reached the kyoshi license (like
some foreigners Otake students have) it won't ability me to teach
without express permission of Soke.

Until nowadays nobody, except Otake Sensei can teach the school inside
the Shinbukan Dojo, the only one recognized by Soke, and absolutely NOBODY
overseas Japan.

My personal curriculum is not so large like Mr Floquet, as you mentioned
and although I practice since 20 years ago and have some graduation in
other martial arts (for example 4th Dan Karate) I don't consider it
relevant enough to give judgment about the subjects that are discussed
in this forum.

For that reason my opinion is simply availed by my direct and personal
experience with the school and with Otake Sensei.

The fact of being Mokuroku doesn't ability me to give judgments about
technical aspects and also not to value the relationship of other people
with the school (Mr Floquet, Mr Sugino, Mr Sugawara, etc).

Since my admission in the school some years ago, my main goal was and is
to be simply a student, nothing more than a student, going apart from
all discussions and groups that exist and all the martial arts that I
practised before (Karate, Aikido, Kendo...), and remaining out of this
"stage".

The reason because I communicated the comments of Otake Sensei and Soke
about differents aspects of the school making public my status of Mokuroku
is the simple information in a so much used medium like this and taking
advantage of the public difusion of the delivering of the Mokuroku
(including interview in Japanese TV and public demostration in
Sawara Festival headed by Iizasa Soke) so that the practitioners could
know the personal opinion about this situations (some of them irregular)
by a person with some beliability, although the critics that will surery
come to me due to these declarations.

I could comment many things about technical differences about the
different lines of work, about the legitimacy of certain "senseis" or
"kyoshis" the value of keppans performed outside Shinbukan Dojo
or the ancient Shobukan Dojo, but we would enter a "tennis match"
throwing the ball to each other.

Otherwise, is very gratefull to realize that certain people with some
relation almost direct with the Iizasa Soke's school (the unique authentic)
discuss , refuse, and sometimes also "fight" (literaturely) clarifying
or explaining many of the questions than in this web are talked about.

I would like to give greetings to some members of this forum that personaly
know the reality of the school and some of them also (who belong) could
experience the human quality of Master Otake.

In September I'll visit again Otake Sensei and will comment the "effects"
of his words last year.

The most serious and simple tha I've read to clarify all this questions
is to carry out what Mr Scott did to directly ring Otake Sensei up, but
I can not imagine the Master "engaged" to the telephone responding each
person and each comment instead of paying atention to his life.

to finish, I add that my beliability in the school is easy to contrast.
I travel every years to Japan, or asking Otake Sensei, Kyoso Sensei,
Arano Sensei, or other members of the Dojo. My name in the dojo is
"PACO" (It is my Budoka nickname in Japan and the meaning
is Shiro Tora, White Tiger). In the dojo I'm known with this nickname.

I would like to thank some people of this forum their deditation and "pacience"
to maintain this threads...

I hope not to disturb nobody and remain outside this discussions and
to be a simple watcher.
Also greetings for Scott, Guy, Wayne, Greg, Diane, and other
"Katori-Shinto-Ryu-Internet-Watchers" and thanks for showing the "other side"
of the opinions discharging of this work to practicioners

thanks
