Default looking for the right oz Ghi

I'm looking to buy a heavyweight Ghi, but i don't know what the right oz would be... im thinking 12oz cotton? how heavy is that and does it give it that good sharp sound when ya kick/punch?

Fabric and weight are dimensions which affect the crisp snap you may be looking for. Sometimes heavier jackets with a specific weave are more suited to high intensity grappling (eg judo). It means that they don't produce the snapping effect. I find that smooth fabrics, produce a better snap if they are of heavy material.

As to how heavy it is, well, you'l know after you wash it and hang it out to dry
