The History of Iaido

Dear All,

I have come across a lot of information on how certain styles of Iai started but i am very short on how Iai actually developed from the sword arts. Does anyone have a history or timeline of Iai they can share. This info is for our Iai webpage - let me know if it is your own text or public domain (so I can acknowledge you on the www!).
