Default Love to the sword

Awww. I thought I was going to read a description of an act difficult to find performed even here in Thailand...depending on what is meant by 'sword', of course.

There is a definite mystique of the Japanese sword.

Be nice, Sigmund. Sometimes a sword is only a sword

I don't know about that. Seeing demonstrations of different styles can be quite interesting because of the different ways that schools do things. Just watching practice is a different matter though. I've had a couple of different high ranking practitioners state that watching iaido ranks right up there with watching paint dry!

Cheers,

Ah, that brings to mind such a great quote by Kim Taylor & David Green. I think they were talking about kyudo, and Kim said something to the effect that if watching iaido was like watching paint dry, then watching kyudo was like... and Dave Green piped up with "watching dry paint".

Hey, it's funnier when they tell it .
