David,
I believe it is the Redlands Fencing Center. I don't really know much about them. From what I can tell, while they appear to be affiliated with the All U.S. Kendo Federation, it appears that their primary emphasis is western fencing. Here is a URL to their website: Redlands Fencing Center I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but there is at least one excellent aikido dojo in Oklahoma City. They do some weapons work, to augment their aikido practice. Feel free to PM me if you want. Good luck, Chris

I can't tell anything from their website. You might have better luck posting your question on the kendo world forums.
As far as attending an Aikido school for the swordwork - not a high percentage move. I'd check out Redlands first.

Ahhh, you do know that quite a few aikido schools host instructors from classical sword styles...right? I can think of three that I've been to without any trouble at all...two in this area. In case you're interested, I believe the styles in question would be MJER and YSR. In fact, some of our illustrious posters are connected to aikido schools in a teaching capacity.
Just don't want people to think all aikido schools are in the same category. But I must also admit I'd look closely myself before making an opinion... Ron |

Didn't say it was impossible. Just rare.

I agree that if David is looking for traditional JSA, then an aikido school would not be a good fit. (While the organization I referred to does have some students that also practice TSKSR, I don't think that it is actually taught at this school). But, that's why I qualified my post by saying I was not sure what exactly he was looking for.
From David's profile, though, it says his interest is in iaido. Probably his next best bet would be to drive a couple of hours south to Denton, TX.

A little birdie tells me that starting next September there will be a MJER Seitokai Yondan moving to the OKC/Norman area. No details yet on where/if teaching is on the agenda, but enthusiasm does wonders to encourage. PM if interested and I'll inquire.

Since you seem to be missing it, I'll just remind you that you don't have to come to Denton for Iai, because as Jack mentioned, in the not too distant future, Iai will be coming to you.
