I was just wondering that myself, I know they have a hand held Shakujo for sale down in "japanese treasures" forum... was meaning to ask if they had any staffs earlier today but never got around to it. will ask tomorrow.

Shakujo staff are used by Japanese Buddhist monks and shugenja priests, yamabushi et al. They are about six feet in length. On the top end is usually six metal rings and a metal point on the bottom end. Please feel free to correct me if I am in error.

What's the significance of 6 rings ? I know 3 and 9 pop up a lot. Just wondering.
