Default calligraphy

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I must say, it's a great change from all the egocentric mma people over at rec.martial-arts. I'm starting Japanese at Sydney University this year and I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find a class for traditional Japanese calligraphy(i don't know exactly what the art is called), or perhaps a website that would help me out etc.
cheers

I know, it's where you're going, but a professor or the bulletin boards at School of Asian Studies at University of Sydney might have suggestions.

Online, you might try http://japanese.about.com/cs/calligraphy
