I think you can not really compare the two videos. And personally I appreciate the first video posted by Ken Hawaii much more. Simply because it is shown in movement and not in some fixed position....

I think kata as part of the whole concept in one art can not be automatically compared with similar schools in sword arts let alone be compared with the concept of kata in another art such as karate....
