Input? Yes: do something else.
Not trying to be facetious, but holding out for something that won't happen is a lousy excuse for not doing anything! :) Ever consider other forms of MA? Other...
An FYI: The link doesn't work right.
We don't use 'terms' much in our little Goju circle, but it is very much like the drills we do. We don't stick to a complete kata...instead we focus on discreet segments/a full technique, and work it...
I'm technically illiterate, but seeing as how it's all on a server...can't OrionWeb just 'put it' somewhere? Can't they just like...hand you a flash drive or something?
Scam, misguided good-will, or pure intent - I am willing to chuck in 20$ for a site. Regardless of my personal (terrible) finances, I'll be contributing as a nod to a site that I think has too many...
Thank you for bringing this up.
Directed at the OP:
Rather than a PM, is there something you can/feel comfortable posting in the way of an address? Or should all folks interested that don't do...
Regardless of whether or not E-Budo continues (here or elsewhere), is it possible to archive the forum as a permanent on-line resource? How much would that cost? As a lurker, I did miss access to the...
Hello again. Hoping some kobudo types can help.
I have a new student that is relocating to Notre Dame, and I'd like to refer him to a teacher/school with quality kobudo. He is currently learning...
Thank you. I will contact him. (I did check out the website, noted that the late Mr. Sylvain was a member of that group, and am definitely interested.)
Thank you! I will follow up on the contacts.

Hi all.
I'm looking for MSR, or other iaido/kenjutsu in Massachusetts. Would anyone know if there are any legitimate teachers in MA? I guess it would be too much to hope for a contact in Western...
Wouldn't it just be simpler to modify the rules that a judge cannot submit a score for their own students/sit out, and using an average (total pts/# eligible judges submitting points) vs. pt total?
bump...apologies for the 'old thread' bump...didn't want to start a new one.
It was brought to my attention that Nakamoto Kiichi is teaching a few seminars, and knowing nothing of the style, or...
It's not 'traditional', but I use high quality, braided climbing rope (EMS carries it in different widths by the yard). Lasts me about two years...long enough to forget how to re-string them. :)
An example:

This is a lovely 'tinbe'...but seems too nice to use for bunkai. I note in some other threads that...
Apologies in advance for the crosspost. I expect this is in the wrong section as well.
I've an interest in learning more about Suzuki Shosan. I expect a copy of Braverman's book to arrive soon,...
Thank you. :)
bump
Hello, and sorry for the bump. I'd like to learn a bit more on the subject, have a few quick questions, and hope some here can help. :)
How often does the Butokukai have events...is it...
I've heard of it, but would be interested in this particular review as well. If you recall, in what journal did you find the review?
Thank you.
Well, Zen priests are few and far between, and getting advice from one can be as problematic as going to the internet. Telling someone to see a priest, or even a therapist, is passing the buck.

Nice post. :)
Well...you can't blame karate or kobudo for the 'circus' atmosphere of most demonstrations. 'Bread and circus' has been around for aeons.
The way this newbie looks at it: if you highlight control...
When was Iai meant for the masses...or mass consumption?
Thank you. Interesting read.
