Can anyone suggest a dojo in Columbia S.C. for my college aged son.
Not interested in Brazilian - but something more traditional.
Thanks
Mike - The email provided to you was for Mark Moore. He used to teach in Lilburn (north of Atlanta off I-85), off Indian Trail. Not sure if he is still teaching there.

I sent it to him today.

Any suggestions?

Send me an email...
Mr. D considered Jun Saito his teacher, and a picture of the two of them together was hung in the dojo dating back to at least 1973. I believe Jun actually taught in the (old) dojo in NJ, but it was...
FYI. I believe that one of Mr. DePasquale's former students has continued to stay affiliated with Hakkoryu Hombu Dojo. His name is Joe Miller, I believe he has Shihan rank and lives in California.
Michael DePasquale Sr. did have a connection to Hombu Dojo of Hakko-Ryu, but in the transition to a new head of the school (maybe th epresent one) there was a split. This was preceeded by naming D....

In the city, Shiohira (spelling?) teaches right beside Japantown, used to be in the basement of a church 1755 Laguna St. At Bush.

I doubt they are still there, but about 10 years ago there was a police officer who taught Saunces Ryu Ju Jitsu at the Jewish Community Center on the west side of town (off I-10). Wish I could be of...
Many years ago T.K.Lee taught threre, as others may have over time. But as suggested, it is not the place to go to train in Aikido.
Steven would know!
Daryl Criags main thin is Kendo and a style of Ju Jitsu used for arresting/controlling. I left Houston 11 years ago but lived there for 14 and he made no claims to teach Aikido......
We put on Hakamas at 3rd kyu. It is a good time to get students more aware of their footwork, and a sign of progress.
The tradititon started in Tohei's organization, not sure if they still follow...
You should use the Dojo search engine on Aiki Web
www.aikiweb.com. But Ron knows his Aikido and is in PA, I would find the dojos in 'commutable' distance and see if he has any experience with them.
