Karate is the catch word that most people seem to catch hold of. If I said Han Mu Do teacher or Shorin-ryu teacher most people would be like what is that? Never heard of that.

I was thinking of making my one sprung floor with tires or foam. I have done some ukemi a hard flooring it is rough be not so bad either. Tournaments never have vaulted flooring.

I found these MATS throughjudoinfo.com. Do any of you guys have any opinions on these? I have nerver seen them before but real tatami cost an arm and a leg.

I have been look around and I think I am going to get me a fuji. They are getting good reps from people I know, what the heck. I am going to try and get the people in my dojo to get one also because...

Surefires are really good. I have known several people to have them. The only drawback is that they are very expensive. I would get a 6 D cell mag light. You can't argue with that monster. :)

:) I am judo bum and generally start with a jog, push-ups, sit-up, flutter kicks, stretching, and lots of uchi komi. But it really just depend on what kind of mood my sensei is in.

In our dojo training is paramont but he continues to tell us to recruit. I think I am just going to have one made. I talked with some of the other senior students and they agree with me.
