Where would one go for information on the game of GO?
Are books best or a web site for the basics?

    Howdy Barry!

Nick's suggestion of Kiseido is excellent. Also, check out Jansteen's site and look under suppliers to find other book sellers: http://www.cwi.nl/people/jansteen/go/go.html

Personally, I think books are an excellent way to study Go ... so are professional game records (especially with commentary) which you can also purchase in book form or find on the internet. Obviously playing games help you apply and develop what you've learned and studied (as well as trying things that you personally have thought of).

    Enjoy!
