Default Anyone here ever train at the Fort Benning Combatives gym?

Can people train there without having to be enrolled?

Any other places at Fort Benning to train at for MA?

    Thanks!

yes, I have as part of the Officers Basic course we attend a level 1 combatives course taught there. I have worked with MSG Larsen when I started out in RIP in 1998 and again at IOBC in 2004. Good facility commited to teaching our present and future warriors skills. Can't say enough good about the both of them.

I think you need to be enrolled at the "Fight House" to train because they have structured classes but at lunch time I seen many pple come in to train and Matt as taught some classes during that time. SSG Bach has a gym in Phenix City so you can go there off duty.

    The "fight house"?

On the weekends I keep stopping by but the combatives gym is locked up. The only free time is on the weekends for me now (maybe after this Monday I'll be allowed to "study" anywhere on Fort Benning).

I know we have TKD here but I would like to get combatives certified ASAP.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You went through RIP? Did you finish and go to one of the battalions?

I was in 1st Bn with Matt Larsen. He was my squad leader (I was one of his team leaders) until he moved to Ft. Lewis. His wife made him move close to her parents. When he moved up there, he was assigned to a LRS unit for a little bit.
