    Default a few technique

    Hey all,

Posting of technique to get this "judo" forum moving. I will post a few that I have been asked to show in other locations, just to get the ball rolling.

    Wow, thanks Aaron!

Haven't watched them all yet, but I really like what I've seen so far (esp. the kata guruma variations).

Would the duck-unders (first couple of vids) be legal in shiai?

    Mike,

You bet, your not actually locking the arm at all. This throw I picked up from sombo. You need to stay close to uke and keep the arm tucked in tight.

One of my guys has used this in shiai with great success.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for those Aaron. Those are really clear and do a good job showing people your clear and no-nonsense teaching style.

I didn't recognize Mat at first, in those videos.

    Good stuff!

    Talking

Ya I am not known for my esoteric, full of moral lessons, style of teaching. I will only respond in the dojo when people call me "Aaron-san O'patchedogi ...hai!" But we all have our quirks.

Not to swell your head anymore, but you are a better teacher every time I see you. I have missed a lot.

PS: I have not been able to log on to the Internet in, about, 2 weeks or so, the fault is mine for letting this forum go but it is not an excuse. This is only the second time I have been able to log on in those two weeks or so. Even at work, I can't because I wrote the rules and I have to stick by them If I am worth my tuppence. I beg you all, your forgiveness and I will try like hell not to let my baby's bathwater out.

    Aaron,

You are such a good teacher that i am seriously thinking of getting up that way for a month or so just so you can show me how you teach and exchange hane notes.

Oh, Aaron, I did hear and see a mention of hane gosh in the hip counter video, so thank you very much.

PS: I will try to start some threads I think will be of interest to the majority, but please feel free to contribute yourselves. I know this does not have to be said but it should be in the head of every jacket wrestler out there: Please, if you see a thread started and has no response, try contributing to making the thread live a happy life. If not, then so be it, and while this really is my responsibility, please give it some thought. Most of you know I am a liberal when it comes to discussing threads not dead on judo, but keep it in mind when you respond anyway.

This has been a fascinating thread.

    Hey long time...

Nice stuff. I knew it was classic Aaron when I heard "sexy choke."

    Three stinky thumbs up!
