    Default Trip Down Memory Lane...

This really should be in Buy,Sell, Trade...

There is a guy selling the complete 1st season of The Master series on EBay.

    Anyone remember that show? LOL!

Who could forget Sho Kosugi's chainmail mask?

But, we Ninpo/Samurai people are all grown up! We just laugh at that corny stuff.

Who needs to wear a mask, anyway? The black gi and/or club t-shirt, belt and tabi are essential, though...

The "corny stuff" is what led you to where you are today...

    Actually,

I enjoyed that series. More close to the "feeling" than many other later ninja boom movies. I think i have 3-4 episodes on VHS still...

Hey don't knock the Master series. I remember back in the days of the mid 80s that programme brought in more students than I have ever had in a dojo. At one point we were up to 60+ training twice a week.

No it didn't, Jason. I'm where I am today by doing mechanically effective Jujutsu and not by leaping behind bushes dressed like Sho Kosugi. If I had done, I'd either still be doing it (because if it was valid a couple of decades ago, it would still be valid) or I'd now be feeling decidedly conned and, consequently, rather embarrassed.
