Default How far would you drive to train AIKIDO

    Hello,

I was just wondering, because I drive for 35 minutes to train aikido. I feel a bit guilty about it.
All aikidos are about 15 - 20 minutes from me. But the closest one is small and mostly white belts.

Where I currently train there are many people and mostly black belts and I learn more from them. There's another one 10 minutes closer where I train.

I'm just wondering. Is it too crazy that I drive too far?
    Thank you.

    Hello Cara
35 min is not too much if you feel good in that dojo. The small one with the white belts is also nice because you could grow together

I use to commute an hour or more. 35m is nothing.

I was fortunate that a branch dojo of my Aikido organization was just 5 minutes from my house, although I also attended seminars, exams, etc. at the main dojo, which was 25 minutes away. On the other hand, it was almost an hour to my Iaido dojo. There were classes at the community college in my town, but by driving further I was able to train with a larger group lead by the college-group's teacher's teacher. (I hope that made sense.) So, in my case, I thought driving further in order to train in the dojo that I was more attracted to was the right choice for me. I don't think either way would be wrong for you, but one might be better; you have to do what makes sense for you.
    Yours in Budo,
