Spend an afternoon getting into the basics, as well as the nuances, of the yonshakubo (4' wooden staff). This event will cover movement principles, subtle kuzushi, and a myriad of unique locks, striking angles, throws, and chokes. Bring your own yonshakubo. This four-hour workshop will be taught by Salahuddin Muhammad, head of Hontai Hakkei Ryu Aikijujutsu, a neo-classical bujutsu that is weapons-based with extensive taijutsu applications.
