Neutralizing and Countering Punches in Aikjujutsu

Interesting video from Salahuddin Muhammad (of Hontai Hakkei Ryu Aikijujutsu) on using internal structure and aiki to neutralize and counter punching attacks. The very beginning of the video has some weird technical glitches going on, including a flashing green screen, but it corrects itself after about 18 seconds.

It's important to note that these are contemporary applications of classical principles, particularly the use of internal methods to drive all aspects of contact with an opponent. The art of Hontai Hakkei Ryu is very rich in traditional kata, but much of the public representation does not show those kata; rather, it offers free-form expressions of the principles and concepts.
