This is not really a seminar, so it's being listed in the Aikijujutsu Forum.
Salahuddin Muhammad, 2nd-generation head of Hontai Hakkei Ryu Aikijujutsu, will be in Boston, Mass. on April 29-30, 2017 to lead a semi-private intensive-training session in his neoclassical art founded by Okazaki Shuji.
HHR-AJJ is a contemporary amalgam of Kukishin Ryu (weapons), Takagi Ryu (bodyguard methods), Kosen judo (newaza) and Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu (aiki myoden). The system is taught in traditional fashion, but with "street-pragmatic" applications that are effective and appropriate for our times.
While this event is mainly for Muhammad Sensei's direct students, he is opening 6 guest spots for participants from outside the art to sample HHR-AJJ and discover what it is about. Mokuroku material, tanren, genri -- empty-hand and weapons -- from the art will be covered and sampled. Much of this material has never been made public before.
Training locations will include outdoor (rain or shine) and indoor venues. Cost is $100 for the two-day program, which will run Saturday from 11AM-5PM, and Sunday from 11AM-4PM, with a short break for lunch. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
Anyone who is seriously interested in attending can contact me with a private message on E-Budo for more information on the training and how to register.
