    Default Eku in water

    Well this weekend I went canoeing and thought next time
    I would try using my Eku to paddle. It is one I bought on line from a martial arts store and I don't know what actually putting in water will do to the wood. I am thinking about treating first to make it more water repellent. maybe something as simple as vegetable oil. Has anyone tried this? Any ideas? Thanks,

    Try a blend of linseed oil and tung oil
