Default Susumu Chino, 8th Dan Yoshinkan, Excellent Aiki

Dr. Susumu Chino, 8th Dan Yoshinkan, is the last deshi of Shioda Gozo. He is practicing de facto aikijujutsu, not aikido, and his aiki is excellent. He had to resign from his post as dojo cho for the Yoshinkan honbu dojo in order to continue his teaching of his way, as it does not align with contemporary Yoshinkan aikido.

Another clip of Dr. Susumu Chino, with Shioda Gozo's grandson.

I don't know what he is calling what he practices, but for all intents and purposes it is aikijujutsu.

    Thanks for finding these.
What Susumu Chino is doing is very different than what contemporary Yoshinkan aikido does, as he has learned and applies the aiki that Shioda himself attained.

Now it will be interesting to see the next generation that Susumu teaches, and who will inherit the full curriculum and skill set.
