I am organizing the Daito Ryu Aiki Jiu-jitsu workshop that Makoto Okamoto Shihan will teach in Madrid in June 2024 on the use of Aiki in martial arts.

Makoto Okamoto Shihan is a sensei at Nihonden Daito Ryu Aiki Jiu-jitsu Tokyo and will come to Madrid to teach 3 6-hour workshops on June 22, 23 and 24, 2024.

Okamoto Sensei has superb, soft aiki. Anyone who is interested in the refined "internals" that are so rarely seen in the Japanese martial arts, should attend this seminar.

I contacted him wanting to know if he had planned a visit to Europe so I could be part of the audience and when he told me no I immediately asked him to do a workshop in Madrid with what he agreed if I fill up each date with 40 martial artists per day.

I hope that you get the required attendance. Okamoto Sensei is not to be missed! I would alert any Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu groups in Europe, and encourage them to attend this event. Also, Okamoto Sensei's aiki skills should be of interest to practitioners of I Liq Chuan, Chen-style Taijiquan, and other internal Chinese martial arts, so I encourage you to promote the seminar to them, too.

Thanks for your kind words and support. I'm an Aikido practitioner and I fully understand the importance of learning Okamoto's Sensei soft Aiki skills.
I hope we can run this workshop and share my experience here so you and all the other readers can take a little insight of what I would learn.
